2026 Tournament

Hey all- because we are so late getting ice scheduled for playoffs this year, we decided to do something a little bit different. We have scheduled a mixed up round robin. Each team gets to play 3 pre-scheduled games so that you can plan for subs etc. The games are spread out over March and April. We spoke to reps ahead of time about dates that were better and worse for each team, and we were able to accommodate most of the requests.

We used AI to make the matchups. They are not exactly random. To make the tournament competitive for all teams, teams that are highest in the standings are playing other higher standing teams more often. Teams with the lowest standings are playing other low standing teams more often. The teams in the middle are playing a little of everyone. (This was based on standings after last week's games.)

This means that the tournament champion could come from ANYWHERE! After everyone plays their 3 games, points will be tallied (2 for a win, 1 for a tie, 0 for a loss). The Tournament Champion will be picked as follows:
1. Most points
2. Head to head among tied teams (if that matchup exists)
3. Goal differential (up to a max of 4 per game)
4. Fewest goals allowed.
5. Still tied?? We will do a show of hands for most fun team to play against at the banquet.

We hope that the mixed up round robin makes for fun and competitive games. Remember, subs are allowed. Same rules as the rest of the season. Sub goalies will be picked at random from available goalies.
